The Liebster Blog Award

A special thanks to Shanon @ Food Farm Health for giving my blog the Liebster Award.  That was so thoughtful of you, many thanks!  Shanon has been such a supportive friend (even though we have never met in person) and helped me so much when I started my blogging journey.  Shanon posts wonderful Real Food recipes and talks about health and her farming journey.  Check out her ‘Around the Yard’ posts, she shares the most beautiful pictures of her farm and what they are harvesting.

The Liebster is awarded to spotlight up and coming bloggers who currently have less than 200 followers. 'Liebster' is a German word meaning dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. What a gift to be awarded with such kindness! Now for the rules:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
5. And most of all - have fun!
Five Blogs That I Love (In No Particular Order)

Allergy-Free Vintage Cookery – Lisa shares some great allergy-friendly recipes (specifically wheat, corn, dairy, egg and mold free recipes) on her vintage themed blog.  She also has great information about food allergies and food sensitivities, a wonderful resource for those of you who are looking for more info on this.

Friends Love Food – My dear friend Majica posts delicious GAPS recipes made with nourishing ingredients.  All of her recipes are free of grains, dairy, soy and most nuts.

Heal Balance Live – Karen shares great recipes that follow the Standard Carbohydrate Diet.  After dealing with unexplained health issues, she changed her diet and her health improved greatly.  Her blog is a great resource for grain-free recipes.

Moving Strongly Forward – One of my favorite blogs to follow.  I met Laura through Holistic Moms Network a couple of years ago.  She’s a wonderful friend and such a wealth of knowledge.  Laura blogs about her family’s holistic journey toward great health and also shares some great recipes.  She is a huge supporter of Weston A. Price Foundation and recently has been blogging about her experience with the Whole 30.

Nourished and Nurtured – A wonderful blog dedicated to nutrient-dense food.  Most of her recipes are GAPS legal since her family follows the GAPS diet.  She also writes about nutrition, gardening, cognizant parenting, natural pregnancy and birth.

Make sure to stop by and check out these fabulous blogs.

Love and light,
Emily
